Life’s circumstances can pull you in all directions; and produce all sorts of feelings, but weep no more for Christ has overcome.
The Lord Jesus came to put an end to tears of sorrow and regret. He suffered excruciating pain, died a shameful death on the cross as full penalty for your sins, and rose again to give you a victorious life. The Bible says in Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. The Lord Jesus knows what you are going through; and He has given you, His word and spirit to help you come through victoriously. So no matter what you are going through today, cheer up, weep no more for your victory is sure. When the Lord Jesus said, it is finished, just before He gave up the ghost at the Cross of Calvary, He was saying in essence weep no more; your pains are over. He has turned your supposed mourning into great joy. Weeping could be very detrimental to any body that indulged in it. Apart from being a deviant behaviour against a divine command, it blurs your vision and reasoning. Also, weeping, when God has spoken against it, is an indirect way of protesting against God’s word. It is equal to murmuring which is also rebellious. the Bible says in John 20 vs 15, that weeping blurred Mary Magdalene’s vision on the resurrection morning so much that she mistook Jesus Christ for a gardener.

Now, an antidote for weeping is the studying of God’s Word concerning His promises to you in time of trouble. Another one is high praises to God who specializes in reversing the irreversible. The Bible says that when David was distressed at Ziglag because his wives and children had been taken away by raiders, he appealed to God for consolation, and he was not only consoled, but was also assured of the reversal of the unpleasant situation. Beloved, weep no more and trust the Lord; for the reversal of that seemingly unpleasant situation in your life and that of your loved ones and you will laugh at the end.
