There Is Power In What You Confess

Proverbs 18:21

The truth is, you can be everything you desire and attain your highest potential; if only you understand that there is power in what you confess, so use your tongue right.

God has given you His word, His spirit, and a tongue to create the future you want. Life will produce for you a harvest of what you say. Your words bring into your life the things you talk about, whether good or bad. You can’t consistently confess vain, inoperative or faithless words and expect progress. In the same way, you can’t speak faith filled words consistently and live an ordinary life. The scriptures; are replete with teachings on the creative power and potency of your word. For instance, Mark 11:23 says, For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Never talk failure, weakness, sickness, lack or fear; but Speak words of faith all the time.

Again in Numbers 13; twelve spies had gone to spy the land that God gave to the children of Israel. Caleb said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, we are not able to go up against the people because they are stronger than us. They said; the land which we have gone to search, is a land that eats up its inhabitants and all the people that we saw in it were men of great stature. We saw the giants, the sons of Anak and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. They said they were like grasshoppers in their own sight. That is what we are thinking about ourselves. And so what they were thinking about themselves became what their enemies were thinking about them. When you think evil or negative about your life, you will soon begin to say it and by saying it you arm your enemy and you will have what you say. Because of this God was upset; that He wanted to wipe them out completely, but Moses intervened and pleaded with God in the place of prayer. Remember, there is power in what you confess; no matter what the problem may be or how big it may seem, speak God’s Word and see it resolved.
